Terms of Service
Effective 27 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-27.1
The rules for using Trench Arcade, entering SOL matches, purchasing optional cosmetic crates and trading eligible skins.
Using Trench Arcade
These Terms govern your use of Trench Arcade. References to we, us and our mean Trench Arcade. Read these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the rules and payment details shown for the feature you choose before taking part.
By accepting these Terms, you agree to them. Paid activity also requires a connected, authenticated wallet and the current acceptance recorded for that wallet. A login signature establishes control of a wallet; it does not by itself authorize a payment. Specific match or purchase terms shown before your approval govern that transaction, including its amount, fee, recipient and expiry.
Age and lawful access
You must be at least 18, meet any higher minimum age that applies to you, have the legal capacity to accept these Terms and be allowed to use each feature where you are physically located. A feature being visible or technically accessible does not establish that it is lawful for you. Do not use paid features where prohibited, misrepresent your eligibility or bypass an access restriction.
The current welcome declaration records that you say you are 18 or older; it is not documentary age or identity verification. Additional wallet eligibility and payment checks can apply. You remain responsible for understanding the restrictions that apply to your participation; this does not remove any legal obligations that apply to Trench Arcade.
Your wallet and account
Use a wallet you control and are authorized to use. Keep its recovery phrase, private keys, device and sign-in access secure. Do not share or transfer your authenticated session, impersonate another player, use stolen funds or let another person participate through your account to evade a restriction.
Review every wallet message and transaction. Trench Arcade does not ask for your wallet private key or recovery phrase. Connecting or disconnecting a wallet does not erase your inventory, finalized activity or outstanding payment records. Clearing browser data can remove local recovery information and does not cancel a transaction already approved or submitted.
Free play and optional purchases
Free practice and available free friendly matches require no match stake or payout. Online SOL matches require the entry displayed for that match. Starter weapons are available without buying a skin.
Buying a SOL Crate, another cosmetic crate or a market skin is optional. You do not need these purchases to practice, enter an otherwise eligible match, improve a weapon's damage or accuracy, or earn a competitive advantage. Cosmetic ownership does not determine your opponent or queue priority.
Skill matches and the risk of loss
Trench Duel is a competitive game that rewards player aiming, movement and decisions. Paid match results are established by the game server under the displayed rules. A paid entry is a voluntary commitment to that match, not a deposit with a promised return.
You can lose your entire funded entry when you lose or forfeit a validly completed paid match, and blockchain network fees are separate. Only enter with funds you can afford to lose. Do not borrow to play or increase spending to recover a previous loss. A win, profit or particular result is never guaranteed. Device performance, connection quality and service interruptions can affect play.
You accept the ordinary financial risk of a valid loss under the agreed match rules. That responsibility does not cancel a valid refund or payout owed to you, excuse an incorrect settlement, or waive a right or remedy that applicable law protects. Describing a duel as skill-based does not represent that every feature is permitted in every jurisdiction; randomized cosmetic crates are a separate feature.
Entry confirmation and match rules
Check the selected mode, entry, opponent, match rules and both possible winner payouts before approving an entry. All required stakes must be independently verified as funded before a paid match starts. A displayed estimate is not a completed payment or payout.
Use the original entry's status and recovery controls if preparation, wallet return or confirmation is interrupted. Do not send a second transfer merely because a screen is slow or unclear. A search or entry can close before play begins; closing a screen does not itself establish whether an already signed or submitted transfer occurred.
New public and friend match entries follow their displayed mode and rules. A search is not a promise of an immediate opponent, identical player skill or a particular network connection. Rank changes only the winner fee specified for a rank-enabled match.
Ranks and winner fees
Ranks are public fee benefits and do not affect opponents, queue order, gameplay, loadouts or matchmaking. Unranked starts at 2.5%. Degen requires US$250 of qualifying settled entries and pays 2.4%; Trencher requires US$750 of qualifying settled entries and pays 2.3%; Trench Veteran requires US$1,500 of qualifying settled entries and pays 2.2%; Trench Elite requires US$5,000 of qualifying settled entries and pays 2.1%; SOL Legend requires US$10,000 of qualifying settled entries and pays 2.0%. These rates apply only when that player wins a rank-enabled 1v1 match.
Progress begins when this rank system launches. Only your own externally funded entry in a completed, finally settled SOL 1v1 counts, including paid friend matches. Wins and losses both count. Free matches, practice, cancellations, refunds, no contests and house-funded stakes do not count. Progress uses the original USD entry tier, not the pot, payout or subsequent SOL price. A promotion applies to the next match; a previously approved entry keeps its locked fees.
For rank-enabled 1v1 matches, each player's rank and fee are fixed before entry approval. The actual winner's own rate, from 2.5% at Unranked to 2.0% at SOL Legend, applies to the combined entry pot, rounded down to whole lamports; the winner receives the remainder. The losing player's rate does not replace the winner's rate. Promotions apply to later matches and do not rewrite a previously approved entry.
For example, two US$10 entries form a US$20 pot. At a 2.5% winner fee, the payout is US$19.50 before separate network fees; at 2.0%, it is US$19.60. Checkout fixes the actual amounts in SOL. Older 1v1 entries retain their original fee; Office 2v2 keeps its 2.5% combined-pot fee and equal winning prizes. Marketplace seller fees are separate. Crates have no additional platform percentage fee.
Leaving, reconnecting and no contest
Confirming Leave/Forfeit after a paid match has started concedes that match. Your funded entry remains part of the pot paid under the verified result; it is not returned simply because you leave. Refreshing, closing the browser or losing connectivity does not guarantee a refund.
The current server allows a reconnect window of up to 60 seconds per interruption. If that window expires and the server verifies that your opponent is still playing normally, you can forfeit. If a server failure or both players disconnecting prevents a verified result, the match can end with no contest. An already decided result remains recorded; refreshing or closing the result screen cannot change its winner. An authorized no-contest outcome follows that entry's original refund agreement instead of paying a winner, subject to payment verification.
For a new 1v1 entry explicitly approved under conditional-refund terms (paid-duel-rank/3), if both players abandon an unfinished match and both original 60-second reconnect deadlines expire, each player's own funded stake is refunded less a fixed 2.5% fee. That fee is calculated separately for each stake and rounded down to whole lamports; rank discounts do not apply to this refund fee. This outcome records no win, loss, played match, win-rate or streak credit, and no rank progress. The retained fee remains a real expense in payment history and profit and loss. Cancelled or unstarted matches and other authorized no-contest outcomes retain their full principal refund under the original terms, excluding network fees. Older approved entries keep their original refund terms and are never charged this new fee retroactively. The conditional rule and exact amounts must be shown before the new entry is approved.
SOL, custody and settlement
All current paid transactions use SOL on the network shown at checkout. USD prices are a quoting reference; the SOL amount, recipient, funding window and permitted network fee are fixed in the payment you review. SOL prices and network conditions can change. Confirm the network and exact transaction in your wallet before signing.
Checkout funds are held in the operator-controlled recipient wallet shown in the original payment terms. Service records track outstanding obligations. This arrangement is operator custody, not program-controlled escrow. Availability of the wallet and settlement services affects when funds can be sent.
Deposits, payouts, seller proceeds and refunds require independent verification and blockchain confirmation. No exact completion time is guaranteed. An uncertain transaction is retained for investigation and recovery rather than automatically replaced by a new transfer. Direct transfers outside checkout do not automatically create a match, purchase, skin or automatic refund entitlement; contact support if you sent an unsupported transfer.
Cancellations, refunds and payment problems
Eligible principal refunds and payouts are processed through the original payment records. A match that never starts, an authorized no-contest outcome or an independently verified late or ineligible checkout payment can qualify for a return under its original terms. A validly lost or forfeited match is not refundable merely because you dislike the result.
A delivered purchase and a refund of that same purchase are mutually exclusive. Do not seek duplicate delivery, refunds or payouts for one payment. Network transaction fees are separate and are not returned by the platform when a payment is reversed. Consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded remain available.
If status is unclear, retain the original match or order reference and transaction signature, then contact support. We may need to reconcile server and blockchain evidence before resolving the issue. A temporary maintenance pause or account restriction does not erase a verified outstanding payment obligation.
Optional crates and random cosmetic rewards
A crate purchase supplies an unopened crate in your Inventory. Opening it reveals one cosmetic reward using the probabilities published for that release. The draw is committed and retained with the purchase. The reward is random: buying more crates does not promise a particular skin, a rare reward, a minimum resale price or a profit.
Read the release's collection, published odds, price, supply limit and payment details before buying. Where offered, the current SOL and Halloween releases are priced at US$1 in SOL, and each specified release has its own lifetime supply of 5,000 crates. Temporary unfinished checkouts can reserve stock. A new separately identified release does not rewrite the supply, reward or payment record of an older purchase.
Crates and skins are optional cosmetics. They do not increase weapon damage or accuracy and are not required for ordinary gameplay or paid-match eligibility. They are not savings or investment products. No buyback, fixed cash redemption, buyer or future market value is promised. The availability of SOL resale is governed by the marketplace rules and does not make a crate's outcome skill-based.
Your cosmetic collection
Skins and unopened crates are Trench Arcade account inventory records, not NFTs or tokens held in your Solana wallet. A skin gives access to its supported in-game appearance under these Terms, not ownership of the game's code, artwork or intellectual property. Disconnecting a wallet does not dispose of an owned copy.
Only eligible copies may be listed for paid resale. Test, gifted or otherwise restricted copies can remain usable in the game without being eligible for SOL sale. We may maintain or update the service and cosmetic presentation; this does not authorize us to erase a valid purchase or avoid a remedy required by law.
Player marketplace
The marketplace uses SOL. A seller must own an eligible available copy, choose an asking price and sign the exact listing authorization. Publishing a listing is not a SOL transfer. Current listing authorizations last seven days. An expired authorization must be removed and listed again to make a new offer.
A copy reserved for an issued payment remains reserved until delivery, refund or independent confirmation that it was unpaid. A completed sale transfers that copy once. Sellers cannot sell a copy they no longer own or evade a pending purchase by relisting it.
The current seller fee is 2.5% of the sale price, rounded down to whole lamports; the seller receives the remaining 97.5%, subject to whole-lamport calculation. Checkout shows the exact amounts. Asking prices and past sales are not valuations or promises of liquidity. A listing may never sell, and you may receive less than you paid for a cosmetic or crate.
Fair play and prohibited use
Do not use cheats, aimbots, wall information, unauthorized automation, client or packet tampering, collusion, match fixing, intentional disruption, fraud or a bug to obtain an unfair advantage or payment. Do not probe another account, steal credentials, overload services, circumvent security or exploit an accidental duplicate credit. Report suspected defects instead of using them against other players.
Do not publish unlawful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, infringing or misleading names, images or messages. You are responsible for content you submit and the permissions needed to use it. You permit Trench Arcade to store, display and transmit that content as necessary to provide the features you use; this does not transfer ownership of your unrelated content.
Do not arrange sham matches, deliberately exchange wins, circulate stakes between controlled wallets or otherwise fabricate settled wager volume to farm ranks or lower fees. Genuine paid matches between friends remain eligible under the published progression rules; a friendship alone does not establish abuse.
Security review and access restrictions
The referee is authoritative for movement, health, ammunition and results. Confirmed attempts to change server-owned state can restrict the authenticated wallet and may end a started match under its rules. Aim and tracking anomalies are review signals; a signal alone does not establish that a person cheated or automatically decide a payout.
We may restrict access, remove abusive content or investigate suspected misuse under these Terms and applicable law. Contact support if you believe a restriction or result is incorrect. Review can depend on available server and payment evidence; recordings are bounded and may expire. A restriction is not permission to confiscate unrelated funds, erase a legitimate obligation or rewrite a finalized result without a valid legal and technical basis.
Service availability and third parties
The arcade depends on your device, browser, network, wallet and external hosting and blockchain services. Latency, outages, browser suspension and third-party failures can interrupt the experience. We aim to maintain the service but do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular frame rate or latency, compatibility with every device or the absence of every bug or exploit.
We may pause new entries or purchases for maintenance, security or an update while preserving existing recovery and settlement obligations. External wallet, explorer and social services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not make them part of Trench Arcade or guarantee their availability.
Taxes and records
You are responsible for assessing and meeting tax or reporting obligations that apply to your own participation, winnings, purchases and sales. Keep appropriate records. Trench Arcade does not promise a tax treatment, investment result or legal classification for your circumstances. This does not displace any reporting or withholding duty that applicable law places on us.
Responsibility and protected rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Trench Arcade is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, speculative profits, lost opportunities, changes in crypto or cosmetic prices, or failures of your device, connectivity or wallet outside our reasonable control. Responsibility for an ordinary, correctly settled match loss remains with the player who chose that entry.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, any valid payout or refund obligation, applicable consumer remedies or any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. These Terms do not make every loss your responsibility simply because it occurred while using the arcade. Mandatory law prevails over any inconsistent provision.
Changes and continued records
We may update the service or these Terms. The effective date and version identify the current text. Material changes require renewed acceptance before new paid activity. New terms do not retroactively replace a payment's original amount, recipient, fees, authorized outcome or recovery record.
If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive it permanently. Any mandatory law that applies to you continues to apply.
Support and disputes
Contact the Trench Arcade team through the official Discord server linked on the website for account, match, purchase or payment problems. Keep the relevant match or purchase reference and public transaction signature so the original record can be found. Ask the team for an appropriate private route before sending personal information or sensitive account evidence.
Never disclose a recovery phrase, private key or account password to support, and do not approve a new payment simply to make an existing payment visible. You may raise a complaint or use a remedy available under applicable law; contacting support does not waive those rights.
